As usual these videos are like fried air…. SAY NOTHING!!! So many variables .. the cost of living we have here in the US don’t change once we retire ! Rent or Own…. City or suburb Groceries , transportation and so on. I have my family in a town northern Italy close to France and if I was to go back there now as a retiree and decide to rent I would easily rent a 2 bed 2 bath for around $600 ( half of city price ) then you have electricity and gas to pay every month and so on. The most important question is how much your pension will be? That’s the game changer…. This content provides nothing cause all you have to do is looking for the cost of living regarding the country you want to spend your time at after you retire.

I volunteer at the genealogy room at our local library and had a patron that wanted help to find the documents needed to qualify for dual citizenship. I am going though the JS process now.. what I don't understand is that the total number of the people in the world that could get an Italian passport is something like 80-90 million people. How is Italy, this small country, not over run with wealthy people from all those other places that would get an Italian passport and live in Italy? I have met so many people that knows someone going through the process. I would love to know what the current demand for JS actually is now.

I currently have all my certified documents, all my translated requirements, and my Apostles completed. My “PROBLEM” is I have been trying to get an appointment to send my documents to Los Angeles consulate and within 1 min of requesting my “prenota”, I get a banner stating ALL appointments are taken and I am to try again the next day. This has been going on since the beginning of March 2024 and I have saved all my screen shots. Would it be faster for me to just try and apply thru the Italian courts under the 1948 law even though my father was born 1913 and grandpa didn’t Naturalize until 1918?
